Luther M. Lamp

Luther M. Lamp, 82, of Shepherdstown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, in the Inpatient Care Facility of Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville.

Born Jan. 2, 1932, in Shepherdstown, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Laura (DeHaven) Lamp.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, and a retired lineman from Potomac Edison. He also worked on the family farm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, LeRoy and Harold Lamp; five sisters, Louise Fritts, Girline Rainey, Jean Lamp, Thelma MacDonald and Betty Sowers.

He is survived his loving wife, Mary N. Lamp; two stepdaughters, Sallie Carta and Sheila Webster; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday, Oct. 25 at noon at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Pastor James Wilkinson, III officiated.

Interment, with military honors, followed in Rosedale Cemetery.
