Teressa Gail Blickenstaff-Kitts

Mrs. Teressa Gail Blickenstaff-Kitts, 57, of Shepherdstown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at her home. She was the beloved wife of John Kitts.

Born April 16, 1957 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of Mary Wolfe Kennedy, of Clearville, Pennsylvania, and the late Robert Blickenstaff.

Teressa earned her Bachelor’s degree from Shepherd University in secondary education and also earned her Masters degree in Fine Arts from M.I.C.A. in Baltimore.

Teressa was a photography teacher at Brunswick High School for 23 years. She was also the Department chair of the Art Department and was involved in numerous community organizations. Teressa enjoyed trips to the beach, loved her cats and more than anything loved being around people. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her sister, Diane Hurwitz-Specht and husband, Ken, of Frederick, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick, where a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20.

Interment will be private.
