Lillie Marie Mercer

Lillie Marie Mercer, 77, of Martinsburg, passed away March 27, 2015 at her home.

Born Aug. 29, 1937 in Clarke County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John H and Viola M. Fiddler Myers.

Lillie was a founding member of Baker Heights Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Shepherdstown Fire Department and retired from the VA Medical Center as a Nurse Assistant.

She will be missed by her husband, John Mercer; two sons, Kenneth Mann and Timothy Mann; seven step-children, Michael Smith, Gary Smith, James Smith, Sheila Gibson, John Mercer Jr., Jeffrey Mercer, and Crystal Butler; two sisters, Rachael Gray and Mary Sytch; one brother, Thomas Myers, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Gerald Mercer, and her siblings, Walter, John, George, Donald, Joseph, Orville, Jim, Paul (Myers), Ella Hummel, Jane Welch, Dorothy Saladini, and Margaret Beavers.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Rosedale Funeral Home. Interment followed in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
