Jane Snyder Miller

Jane Snyder Miller, 95, of Kearneysville, died Friday 8, 2015, at Elmcroft of Martinsburg.

She was the widow of Lige B. Miller, who died June 26, 2011. They were married 70 years.

Born July 13, 1919, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Henry M. Snyder Sr. and Margaret (Knott) Snyder.

Mrs. Miller was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.

She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

She was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School, and attended Shepherd College.

She was a member of the Democratic Women of Jefferson County, and volunteered at Shepherdstown Museum at the Entler Hotel, and at Meals on Wheels. She was active with her sorority at Shepherd College, and was a world traveler.

She is survived by her son, Lige Benton “Ben” Miller Jr. and wife, Cathy, of Annapolis, Maryland.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Moore Snyder Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Edna M. Snyder.

Memorial service were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Shepherdstown, with the Rev. Dr. G.T. Schramm officiating. Interment was private at Elmwood Cemetery, Shepherdstown.

Arrangements are by Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
