William Peter Semon Jr

William Peter Semon Jr., 82, of Harpers Ferry, formerly of Long Island, New York, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, at his residence.

Born Oct. 1, 1932, in Long Island, he was the son of the late William Semon, Sr. and Jennie Palmer Semon.

Peter attended Fellowship Bible Church in Shenandoah Junction.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Peter lived a full life, blessed with many and diverse talents. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and “Paw Paw.”

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Diana, at home; one son, William P. Semon III of Long Island; one daughter, Jennie Leigh Murphy and husband, Thomas P., of Flower Mound, Texas; two grandsons, Pierce William Murphy and Sean Thomas Murphy of Flower Mound, Texas; and one sister, Jeane Palmer Semon of Palm Beach, Florida.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, at Fellowship Bible Church, 160 Daniel Road, Shenandoah Junction, with Pastor Van Marsceau officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church.
