Shawn Christopher Staubs

Shawn Christopher Staubs, a loving father, 29, of Harpers Ferry, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Berkeley Medical Center, Martinsburg.

Born Oct. 5, 1985, in Charles Town, he is the son of Chris R. Staubs and Pamela A. (Biggs) Staubs, both of Harpers Ferry.

Shawn was a self employed small engine repair mechanic.

He was a member of Landmark Apostolic Church, Martinsburg and Mission Tabernacle Church, of Harpers Ferry.

Shawn was an avid fisherman and a 4-wheeler and dirt bike enthusiast.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his significant other of six years, Kelsey Wilson, of Inwood; son, Isaac O. Staubs, at home; daughter, Dakota Lynn Staubs, at home; stepdaughter, Hannah Hall, at home; paternal grandparents, Raymond M. Staubs, of Shepherdstown and Ruby LaBelle, of Ranson; maternal grandmother, Ellen Biggs, of Charles Town; sister, Amy Nicole Staubs, of Harpers Ferry; brother, Raymond Lee Staubs and wife, Brittany, of Harpers Ferry; nephew, Truston Lee Staubs; and numerous friends and cousins.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, with the Rev. Bobby Roadcap, Pastor Robert Gordon, Pastor James Palmer and Pastor Danny Nick officiating. Interment was at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
