Freda Moler Trail
Freda Moler Trail, 79, of Shepherdstown, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville.
Born April 10, 1936 in Bakerton, she was the daughter of the late John Moler and Madge Grove Moler.
She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Shepherdstown Women’s Club.
Freda was a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School, class of 1954. She was an office manager for several businesses, later included the family business, Trail’s Chevron. She was a National Campion bowler, earning numerous trophies. She loved NASCAR and Jeff Gordon, the Redskins and the Orioles.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, William “Bill”, at home; one daughter, Debra Grim and husband, Joseph of Bunker Hill; one son, Michael Scott Trail, Sr. of Shepherdstown; two sisters, Jeanette Hoffmaster of Rockville, Maryland and Hazel Rinaldi of Palm Beach, Florida; three brothers, Daniel Moler of Bakerton; Edward Moler of Ranson and Thomas Moler of Kearneysville; three grandchildren, The Rev. Dr. Jason Hamilton of Malaysia; Joseph Grim, II of Bunker Hill and Michael Scott Trail, Jr. of Shepherdstown; one great-granddaughter, Dallas Anavau Hamilton of Malaysia and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Iola Grimm and three brothers, Charles, Nathan and Lyle Moler.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown.
