Wilfred Reguero

Wilfred Reguero, 78, of Shepherdstown, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Shenandoah Center in Charles Town.

Born Dec. 21, 1936 in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late John Reguero and Carmen Saez Reguero.

He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Shepherdstown

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, where he was a musician on the admiral’s staff. He was a graduate of Howard University Medical School and served a full career as an OB-GYN, during which time he was chairman of the department at the Hospital of St. Raphael and clinical professor at Yale. He retired in 2004, relocating to Shepherdstown.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth A. Breckinridge, at home; two daughters, Laura Reguero-Brennan and husband, Scott of Maryland; and Anna DeFelice and husband, James of New York; two stepsons, Paul Haldeman and wife, Rebecca of England; and Alexander Haldeman and wife, Christine of PA; five grandchildren, Jack and Olivia Brennan and Jonathan, Michael and Christopher Haldeman.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 12 noon at St. Agnes Catholic Church 106 S. Duke Street, Shepherdstown on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015 with Rev. Fr. Mathew Rowgh as the Celebrant. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
