Wayne Emmit Johnson

Wayne Emmit Johnson, 69, of Charles Town, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Born March 20, 1946, in Millville, he was the son of the late Alfred Johnson and Katherine Woodward Johnson.

Wayne was of the Pentecostal faith, and was a contractor in the construction business.

He is survived by two daughters, Marie Johnson of Shepherdstown, and Allison Wilson and husband, Isaac, of Inwood; five sons, Wayne Jr. and wife, Michelle, of Martinsburg, Chad Johnson and wife, Kelly, of Charles Town, Craig Johnson of Ranson, Blake Johnson of Shepherdstown, and Doug Williams and wife, Martha, of Charles Town; four sisters, Lorna Dennison and husband, Donald, of Charles Town, Patricia Fraley of Charles Town, Charlotte James and husband, Frank, of Harpers Ferry, and Trudy Stanley and husband, Tom, of Inwood; two brothers, Alfred Johnson, Jr. and wife, Ruth, of Millville, and Leroy Johnson of Millville; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held 1 p.m. today at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, with the Rev. Frank James officiating. Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town.
