Terence “Terry” Douglas Brant
Terence “Terry” Douglas Brant, 73, of Martinsburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born March 5, 1942, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Clarence D. and Dorothy M (Fortney) Brant.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a senior analytical chemist with 3M Company in Middleway. He loved history, the Civil War, politics, and was an avid reader. He was a graduate of Shepherd College with a degree in Chemistry.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine “Kitty” (Walsh) Brant; a son, Todd Brant and his wife, Heather; a daughter, Monica Brant Kackley and her husband, Scott; three grandchildren, Nick Kackley and fiance Ashley Michael, Ryan Kackley and wife Emilee, and Natalie Brant: two great-grandchildren, Cohen and Brynn Kackley; one sister, Joyce Ann Church; three step-children, Charles Connolly and wife Maya, Elizabeth Parillo and husband Michael, and William Connolly; two step-grandchildren, Olivia Connolly, Cate Connolly, and one on the way; and his beloved cat, Me Me.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Proctor Brant; and one brother, Robert Wayne Brant.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at First Baptist Church in Martinsburg, with Pastor Craig Dearing officiating. Interment was at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
