Benjamin F. Magaha, Jr.
Benjamin F. Magaha Jr., 92, of Stephens City, Virginia, formerly of Ranson, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at Heritage Hall, Front Royal, Virginia.
Born Oct. 5, 1923, in Jefferson County, he was the son of Benjamin F. Magaha Sr. and Hattie Jane (Stewart) Magaha.
For more than 50 years, Mr. Magaha was a self-employed truck driver.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town.
He is survived by his daughter, Judith Ann Smith, of Stephens City; son, William “Bill” Magaha and wife, Nancy, of Shepherdstown; granddaughter, Wendy Wasson, of Charles Town; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Brandon and Jordan Wasson; 11 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy M. Littleton, of Ranson and Joann M. Goladay, of Charles Town; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia M. (Whittington) Magaha, who died June 27, 2005; two sisters, Helen Hill and Dorcas Horner; and one brother, Donald C. Magaha.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, with the Rev. Richard Kroll officiating.
Interment was at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
