John Patrick Morrison

John Patrick Morrison, 68, of Hedgesville, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at his residence.

Born Jan. 8, 1947, in Messina, New York, he is the son of Esther B. White Morrison of Hanover, Pennsylvania and the late Willard Keith Morrison.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was a founding member of the Austin Healey Sports and Touring Club and treasured all the dear friendships that resulted from his 30 year affiliation.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dawn Gardner Brickley; one daughter, Deidre Ann Morrison and partner, Kathy Jo Shambaugh of Shepherdstown; one step-son, David Alexander Brickley of Raleigh, North Carolina; son-in-law, Peter C. Schaefer, III and granddaughter, Victoria Erynn Schaefer of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Peter K. Morrison and wife, Cynthia Myers-Morrison of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Paula J. Morrell and husband, Glen Edward Morrell, II, of Hanover, Pennsylvania; and one niece, Lauren Morrell of Hanover.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Jay Morrell.

Services and interment are private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name to a local animal rescue would be deeply appreciated.
