Bettie Morrow Wiltshire

Bettie Morrow Wiltshire, 95, of Heatherfield, Shepherdstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, under the care of Hospice.

She was born July 10, 1920, in Molers Cross Roads, to the late Joseph T. Morrow and Anna Virginia (Licklider) Morrow. She was the widow of Lynwood Walton Wiltshire, who died Dec. 15, 1988.

Mrs. Wiltshire was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She also was a seamstress.

She was a member of New Street United Methodist Church, where she was the finance secretary for many years. She was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School, class of 1938. She was also a graduate of Shepherd College, class of 1942.

She was a member of Shepherdstown Women’s Club, where she served as secretary, Women’s Society, where she served as treasurer, and American Legion Post 126 Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Lynn Wiltshire, of Shepherdstown; a sister, Denise Hardin, of Baltimore, Maryland; two brothers, George Morrow, and Robert Morrow of Yorktown, Virginia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Moore; and two brothers, Randolph Morrow and Joseph Morrow.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at New Street United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, with the Rev. Dee-Ann Dixon officiating. Interment was at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg.
