James Grover Hancock

James Grover Hancock, age 64, left our earthly presence on Dec. 17, 2015.

James was born Aug. 3, 1950 to Grover and Matte Hancock. He traveled with his family as a young man and that wanderlust never left him.

James is survived by a daughter, Mattelynn Hancock; her husband, Creine Mejia; and three grandchildren; Peter, Gabriel and Violet. He will be greatly missed by his brothers Bobby, Ronald and Frank and his sister Barbara, who loved him from the moon to the stars. He also leaves behind his lifetime friend, Don Moore.

James loved the outdoors. He attended Shepherd College and worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for years. James will be remembered for living his life on his own terms. He was his own man.
