Norman Howard Underwood

Norman Howard Underwood, 71, of Shepherdstown, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born May 24, 1944, in Vancouver, Washington.

He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the American Indian Society of D.C. and a member of their honor guard. He retired after 30 plus years with the IRS in Martinsburg.

He is survived by his wife, Arisane Gluchowski Underwood; three grandchildren, Cameron, Alexus, and Mickila; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Brown Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sue Adams officiating.

Graveside services will be held at a future date in Quantico National Cemetery.
