David Ray Kisner Sr.

David Ray Kisner Sr., 84, of Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born Aug. 2, 1931, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late David Theodore and Hannah Underwood Kisner.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Eagles, American Legion, and lifetime member of the VFW.

David is survived by his wife, Dorothy Breeden Kisner; a son, David Ray Kisner Jr., of Ocean City, Maryland; stepson, Charles Bailey, of Maryland; one grandson, David R. Kisner III; one brother, William “Bubby” Whittington, of Shepherdstown; and two sisters, Nancy Ryan Barthalow, of Charles Town and Sharon Dirting, of Martinsburg.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Myers officiating. Interment was in Rosedale Cemetery.
