Deborah S. Loughry
Deborah S. Loughry, 62, of Shepherdstown, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility. Her wish was to give her body as a gift as a heroic effort to find a cure for Huntington’s Disease that so viciously took her precious life.
Born Nov. 22, 1953, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Dick and Gerline Breeden Whirley.
She was an avid animal lover and treated her pets as children; and each of them was important to her. She loved flowers, gardening, and enjoyed the company of her friends.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Paul Loughry; one daughter, Brandi Loughry; two grandchildren, Carter and Zachery; a brother, Douglas Dick; two sisters, Betty Ann Shipley and husband, Garry and Marsha Burkhart; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kim Greenfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Samuel and Lelia Dick; and a sister, Carolyn Dick.
Celebration of Life service will be held at Bunker Hill Presbyterian and will be announced at a later date.
