Scott Lee Schubel

Scott Lee Schubel, 56, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, MD.

Born, July 9, 1959, he was the son of Donald Lee and Betty June Schubel of Shepherdstown.

Scott graduated from Middletown High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and his law degree from American University. Scott was an avid musician and a beautiful piano player. He had a passion for antique French cars and owned a “Citroen” himself. He spoke several languages. Scott enjoyed skeet shooting, traveling the world and looking for off the wall places. He helped anyone who was in need, was very active in the community and served on the board of the Red Cross.

Scott was a practicing attorney for thirty years, most recently with his own firm, The Law Offices of Scott L. Schubel.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his loving wife, Hsiu Chiang,whom he married August 21, 2006; two sons, Michael Schubel and Edward Schubel; two step-daughters, Joanne Lee and Jade Lee; two brothers, Greg Schubel and Alec Schubel; two sisters, Jodi Schubel and Rebecca Schubel and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, MD.

There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Scott’s name to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth St., Santa Monica, CA 90401.
