Elizabeth Ann Mansfield

Elizabeth Ann Mansfield, 60, of Charles Town, died Friday, May 13, 2016, in Harpers Ferry.

Mrs. Mansfield was born April 19, 1956, in Cheverly, Maryland, daughter of Charles Marion Clark and Shirley Ann Bachus Clark.

She was retired from Loudoun County government, where she was a medical records technician.

Elizabeth graduated with honors in 1997 from Shepherd College. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, Phi Alpha Theta and listed in Who’s Who among students in American Universities. She also holds a certificate as a Historic Preservation Specialist and spent the next several years as an enthusiastic archeologist.

She was a member of Kabletown United Methodist Church, where she married Bob in 2009 after 14 years and the insistence of their granddaughters.

Surviving with her husband are two sons, Brian K. Carter, of Ranson and Brandon C. Carter, of Martinsburg; daughter, Alexia R. Hindman, of Ranson; stepson, Chris P. Mansfield and his wife, Carla, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; stepdaughter, Janelle Anderson and her husband, Matt, of Dallastown, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Grant M. Clark, of Kearneysville and Scott A. Clark and his wife, Kim, of Harpers Ferry; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, Virginia, with Pastor Larry Santmyer officiating. Burial was private.
