Newton Cook Bray

Newton Cook Bray, 82, of Shepherdstown, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born June 9, 1933, in Boyd, Virginia, he was the son of the late Chandler Henry Bray and Annie Mae McKinley Marshall.

He was a well-known horseman.

He is survived by the Hill family; his close friends and caregivers; a brother, Powell McKinley Bray; a sister, Edith Ann Blackwell; 10 nephews; six nieces; and many other relatives.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Price officiating. Interment was held privately.
