Billie Lee Barnhart

Billie Lee Barnhart, 68, of Martinsburg, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016, at the Winchester Medical Center.

Born July 11, 1947, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Authur Williams Houghton and Charlotte Fowler Houghton.

She was a 1965 graduate of Martinsburg High School and received her Bachelor Degree from Shepherd College.

She retired in December 2015 from Winchester Medical Center after working over 30 years in the Radiation Oncology Unit.

Billie enjoyed gardening, traveling, and the beach. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting activities.

She is survived by two daughters, Kim Ramsburg and husband, Michael and Tammy Lamp and husband, Doug; three grandchildren, Brooke Shelton, Jamie McDonald, and Amber Barnhart; five great-grandchildren, Brenden and Colton Shelton, Xander and Ezra McDonald, and Hayden Ramsburg; one brother, Glenn Houghton; one sister, Dana Benton; and her special dog, China Doll.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Ralph Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the South Berkeley Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
