Carolyn Ann Bryant

Carolyn Ann Bryant, 50 of Harpers Ferry, passed away on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg.

Born Aug. 16, 1966 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Gaither Waltz and E. Lucille Waltz of Shepherdstown.

Carolyn was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School and was on the Altar Guild. Carolyn was a graduate of Jefferson High School, class of 1984 and a graduate of Shepherd College, class of 1988 with a Bachelors in Math and History Education, where she was also a member of Mu Alpha Theta Math Fraternity. She received her Masters in History Education from WVU. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution and an avid member of 4-H and was a 4-H Allstar. Carolyn was a devoted wife and a loving mother and daughter.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, David E. Bryant, at home; two sons, John M. and James L. Bryant, at home; an aunt, Agnes V. Lowe, Martinsburg, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and uncle, Arnold A. Banks.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Shepherdstown, with Dr. G.T. Schramm officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown.
