Austin John Berrier, Sr.

Austin John Berrier, Sr., 69, of Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at his home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Roby Everett and Mary Elizabeth Lowinski Berrier.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Shepherd University.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Austin was a member of St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church Williamsport, Maryland. He previously served on the church parish council.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathryn S. Berrier, of Martinsburg; son, Austin J. Berrier, Jr., of Goodyear, Arizona; grandsons, Ashton Berrier and Jack Berrier, of Goodyear; goddaughter, Elizabeth Givens, of Falling Waters; sister, Joanna Wajek and her husband, Joe, of Pasadena, Maryland.

He was predeceased by a brother, David C. Berrier.

A mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Williamsport, with Father John Jicha celebrant. Burial was private.
