Betty Albin Decker
Betty Albin Decker, 79, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born April 29, 1937 in Shepherdstown, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna Billmyer Albin.
She was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church where she served on the Sharing Hands Committee, Bereavement Committee and a member of the Apple Dumpling Gang.
Betty was very involved with the Shepherdstown High School Alumni. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She grew up as a farm girl and was a breast cancer survivor. She had a deep pride of her family and loved to talk to all who would share time with her.
She is survived by her son, David W. Decker and wife, Cathy; two grandsons, Ryan and Eric Decker; two sisters, Emma Jean Hockman and Mary Hogge; a number of nieces and nephews; and her dog, Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Marshall “Buddy” Decker.
Funeral service were held on Monday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynn Wilson officiating.
