Rose Jane Jenkins

Rose Jane Jenkins, 88, of Shepherdstown, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Oct. 23, 2016, at her home.

Born Feb. 3, 1928, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Agnes L. Wilson; she was fondly known to all as Susie.

Rose was employed by the Veterans Medical Center, as a dental lab technician, where she retired with 37 years of honorable service.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew A. Wilson.

She will be greatly missed and remembered by her dear friends, Margaret (Peggy) Grantham and Vicky Ford, of Shepherdstown. A special thank you to Dennis Williams, who faithfully took her to church for years and to visit her mother in Berkeley Springs.

She is also survived by her caregivers, Susan Holmes and Sherad Thornton, of Shepherds-town, and James and Sylvia Turner, of Altamonte Springs, Florida; and goddaughters, Lynn Myers, of Front Royal, Virginia and Bonita Brooks, of Shepherdstown.

Graveside service were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Pleasant View Memory Gardens with the Rev. Rudolph Bropleh officiating.

Arrangements were by Brown Funeral Home.
