Cody James Lookingbill
Cody James Lookingbill, 15, of Kearneysville, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Fairfax INOVA in Virginia.
Born Jan. 5, 2001, in Ranson, he was the son of George William Lookingbill Jr. and Wilhelmina Grace Webber Brooks.
He was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.
Cody was a student at Jefferson High School. He played for Jefferson County Football League for the Raiders and played for the Charles Town/Ranson Little League.
He loved to roller skate and loved to spend time with his sisters, brothers and cousins.
Cody was gone too soon and his presence will be missed every day.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by stepparents, Richard Lee Brooks Jr. and Bobby Colvert; two sisters, Destiny Brooks and Sammie Lookingbill; two brothers, Richard Lee Brooks II and Jaden Brooks; maternal grandmother, Sonja Ketterman; step-grand- mother, Melody Brooks and companion, Jerry Payne; step-grandfather, Richard Lee Brooks Sr.; paternal grandmother, Nancy Keeney; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Butch Croissant; great-grand- parents, Wilhelmina and Morgan Webber; uncle, Robert Brooks Jr.; great-great-grandmother; Beula Fritts; and close friend, John Davern.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, with Brother Jimmy Oates officiating.
