Travis Allen Rissler

Travis Allen Rissler, 38, of Charles Town, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at his residence.

Born Feb. 18, 1978, in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of John Hastings Rissler and Mary Paul Marshall Rissler.

Travis was employed with the Loudoun County School System.

Travis was of the Christian faith and a graduate of Jefferson High School, class of 1996. He was truly dedicated to the family farm, “Uinta.” He was loyal and devoted to his friends and family and generous to a fault. Travis was a fantastic uncle for all the four-wheeler rides, hunting, fishing and many other life experiences he afforded his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Paul Rissler, of Charles Town; his father, John H. Rissler, of Charles Town; paternal grandmother, Alice J. Rissler, of Charles Town; one sister, Amy Brinkley and husband, Bill, of Wilmington, North Carolina; one brother, Jerad Rissler and wife, Kim, of Atlanta, Georgia; four nieces and nephews, Christian and Mary Alice Brinkley and Megan and Ethan Rissler; and special aunt and uncle, to whom Travis was very close, Ron and Tracey Rissler, of Charles Town.

Services were held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Covenant Baptist Church, 7485 Shepherdstown Pike, Shepherdstown, with Pastor Joel Rainey officiating. Interment was private.
