Glenville H. “Porky” Jenkins
Glenville H. “Porky” Jenkins, 77, of Martinsburg, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born March 29, 1939 in Berkeley County, he was the son of the late Seth Howard and Laura May Wilson Jenkins.
He had been an upholster for 18 years at Berkeley Upholstery where he also worked as a truck driver. He had been a cab driver for Central Taxi and Orndorff Taxi. Truck driver for Whittington Transfer, a furniture mover for Odell Clark, Inc., and for 8 years he worked as a shuttle bus driver and security at Hollywood Casino.
He attended Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda A. Humphries Jenkins; his children, George H. Jenkins of Shepherdstown, Seth Howard Jenkins of North Carolina, Anthony D. Nichols of California, Glenville Howard Jenkins, Jr. of North Carolina, Sherry L. Jenkins Marshall of Bunker Hill, Rodney D. Jenkins of Martinsburg, Jeanna M. Humphries Hilker of Shenandoah Junction and Herbert L. Scruggs, Jr. of Nebraska; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with one on the way; two sisters, Linda Jenkins of Pikeside and Dixie Sprouse of Martinsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth W. Jenkins and Seth G. Jenkins; and a sister, Mary Grove.
Family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel with Pastor Chuck Donivan officiating. Interment at Rosedale Cemetery.
