Lillian Willingham Shade

Lillian Willingham Shade, 79, of Inwood, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born Feb. 7, 1937 in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Willingham and Edith Frye Willingham.

She was a member of the Mountain Chapel Presbyterian Church. She had attended the Lutheran church in Shepherdstown for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Richard Shade; son, Jeffrey S. Shade and wife, Melissa, of Gerrardstown; two daughters, Kimberly D. McNamee and husband, Patrick, of Martinsburg and Karen D. Shade of Gerrardstown; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and sister, Jean Meyer of Kearneysville.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Craig Shade.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, with Pastor Brad Langdon officiating. Interment was in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery.
