Mary Lou Horner Kackley
Mary Lou Horner Kackley, 80, of Martinsburg, went to heaven to be with her Lord and her husband, on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born Sept. 22, 1936, in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis Horner and Georgia Edwards Horner.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by four sons, Kevin Kackley and wife, Patricia, of Shepherdstown, Timothy Kackley and wife, Andrea, of Gerrardstown, Donivan Kackley of Martinsburg, Marlin “Marty” Kackley and wife, Bridgett Ann, of Martinsburg; one daughter, Kimberley Kay Kackley of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Travis Rowe, Amber Kackley, Justin Kackley and Brooke Kackley; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry W. Horner and wife, Barbara, of Martinsburg, and Randy Horner of Martinsburg; one sister, Linda Hess and husband, John, of Martinsburg; brother in-law and sister in-law, Vernon and Audrey Kackley; dear friend of more than 70 years, Shirley Kearns; long-time pet and companion, her cat, Harvey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Coaver Kackley; two grandchildren, Tabitha Moricle and Stephanie Hockenberry; and one brother, Ricky J. Horner.
Private graveside services were held Thursday, Feb. 2, at Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery, with the Rev. Chris Butler officiating.
