Charles Edward “Charlie Boy” Winfrey, Jr.

Charles Edward “Charlie Boy” Winfrey, Jr., 67, of Shepherdstown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017.

Born Nov. 15, 1949, in Shepherdstown, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Winfrey, Sr. and Mary Maria McCann Winfrey.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys McDowell Winfrey; three children, Elizabeth McDowell, Aaron Scott McDowell, and Jessica McDowell; two grandchildren, Kyron Hopewell, and Tianna Clarke; four sisters, Mary Plummer, Linda Winfrey, Patricia Winfrey, and Melanie Bolden; and a host of niece and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Winfrey and Janice Winfrey.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Asbury United Methodist Church. Interment was in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Arrangements were by Brown Funeral Home.
