Myrtle L. Boyle

Myrtle L. Boyle, 85, Shepherdstown passed from this life Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016 at the Shenandoah Center.

She was born Dec. 19, 1930 in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She was the daughter of Stephen Edwards and Laura Leizear Edwards.

She is survived by three sons, John Boyle, Sr., David Boyle and William Boyle; daughters-in-law: Cindy Boyle and Sandy Boyle. She is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved dearly. She is also survived by two sisters, Alice Nicely (Morris) and Nancy Chapman (Dickie). She I also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, George H. Boyle, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Boyle.

Myrtle loved volunteering at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and the VA Medical Center.

She loved to crochet and make all her family Christmas stockings. She was a very social person and was a friend to many people.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Strider Funeral Home, Charles Town, with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating.
