Jeanette Louise Fisher

Jeanette Louise Fisher, 92, of Ranson, passed away on Sunday, Mar. 12, 2017. She was born on Feb. 13, 1925 in Defiance, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, W. Scott Fisher.
Jeanette spent the majority of her life living in Hustontown, Pennsylvania. She was the eldest child of eight, growing up on a farm. Her parents were Percy Leroy and Cecil Abbott Fetters.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Dubbs and Betty Cutchell, both of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Her surviving siblings, Meril Fetters and Joyce Mellott live in McConnellsburg; another sister, Faye Brant, lives in Harrisonville, Pennsylvania.
After retirement Jeanette and Scott moved to Ranson in 1996 to be closer to their children. They loved playing bingo at the local fire departments and visiting the Anna Mae Reedy Senior Center in Ranson.
Jeanette’s eldest son, Dean Johnston, Jr., lives in Kearneysville, with his wife Judy and have been long-time residents of the area. Her other children, Vincent Fisher, currently lives in Ranson, and Jan Fisher, as well as daughter Candace Bailey and son-in-law James reside in Harpers Ferry. Jeanette also has six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
Jeanette loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, writing letters, enjoying country music, doing puzzles and laughing. She was a very endearing and loving wife, parent and friend who will be missed by all. Her burial was scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 19, at Browns Funeral Home, Hustontown, Pennsylvania.
