Joseph Jones Sr.

Joseph Robert Jones Sr., 78, of Martinsburg, passed from this life into the loving forgiveness of God on March 16, 2017.

He was born in French Creek, to the late Wilma Eloise Jones and Luther Earl Jones.

A graduate of Elizabeth Forward High, 1956; University of Georgia, 1965; and MBA Mount Saint Mary’s College, 1981, he retired from Boise Cascade/American Woodmark. He was a member of Elk Branch Masonic Lodge No. 93, and Shepherdstown Order of Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Jones, of Martinsburg; two sons, Joe Jones Jr., of Charlotte, North Carolina and William Jones, of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Laura Shea, of Frederick, Maryland and Libby Piper, of West Chester, Pennsylvania; one stepson, Charles Turner, of West Virginia; two brothers, Charles A. Jones and Earl K. Jones, both of Florida; one sister, Elizabeth E. Goff, of Virginia; nine grandsons; and four step-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown.
