Mathew C. Ridgway

Mathew Clyde Ridgway, 47, of Shepherdstown, WV passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017.

Born September 14, 1969 in Lancaster, CA, he was the son of Vernon Freeman Ridgway of Phoenix, AZ and Heather Rae Williams Wallace of Shepherdstown, WV.

Mathew was a member of the Oneida Indian Nation. He served the people of the County of Los Angeles as an EMT and Paramedic with a private firm prior to his move to Shepherdstown WV.

He is survived by his mother, Heather Wallace and husband, Charles of Shepherdstown; father, Vernon Ridgway and wife, Cyndi of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Amber Wallace and husband, Joshua Garrison and Daphni Ferrin; four brothers, Christopher Wallace and wife Jennifer, Gordon Wallace and wife, Lindsay Watson, Kyle Griner and Travis Griner; four aunts, Sharon Ashcraft, Nancy Wallace, Mary Wallace and Elizabeth Frocklage and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Virginia DeMaris and husband Jack DeMaris and Calvin Williams; paternal grandparents, Freeman and Elizabeth Ridgway, one uncle, Ray Ridgway and Charles and Elizabeth Wallace and Scott Ashcraft.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. The family welcomes friends to celebrate his life.
