Keith E. Marken

Keith Edward Marken, 68, of Martinsburg, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at his residence.

Born Dec. 12, 1948, in Ranson, he was the son of the late Oatha S. Marken and Evelyn Duncan Marken.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Keith worked as a Marc Train Conductor for his last years on the railroad, until he retired in 2009. He loved country music, hunting, fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. He could not stop telling people how much he loved retirement. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great- grandchildren, who were his greatest joy.

He is survived by his wife, Shelly Baggett Marken, at home; one son, Randy Marken and wife, Stacy, of Inwood; two daughters, Jacqui Watson and husband, Willie, and Kelli Marken, all of Charles Town; one stepson, Jason Creed and wife, Stephani, of White Oak, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Lemaster and husband, Roger, and Karen Potts and husband, Kenny, all of Shepherdstown; six brothers, Danny Marken and wife, Darlene, of Charles Town, Joe Marken and companion, Julie Smith, of Wiley Ford, Gary Marken of Highview, Mickey Marken and wife, Bev, of Martinsburg, and Ricky Marken of Shepherdstown.

He was preceded in death by one son, Brian K. Marken.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
