Anna ‘Marie’ Crum
Anna “Marie” Crum, 81, of Shepherdstown, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at Canterbury Center of Shepherdstown.
Born June 8, 1936, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Willie Hilliard and Edith Alice Turner Hilliard.
She was one of the founding members of Berean Assembly of God which later became known as Crossroads Church. She was involved with RUHungry, a ministry dedicated to feeding college students at Shepherd University; a very active member of the church, served in the Women’s Ministries and Missionettes; and made quilts for missionaries, her children, and grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons, James Brian Tennant and wife, Kate, Kyle Scott Tennant and wife, Marla, Jack Craig Tennant and wife, Aileen H. Laing, and David Eddy Tennant and wife, April; one daughter, Sharon Marie Tennant; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Younkins Tennant; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Bonar and husband, Greg, H.D. Smith and wife, Christina, Kyle Tennant, Matthew Tennant, Michael Tennant, Alexander Tennant, Jackson Tennant, and Taylor Tennant; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Lynleigh Bonar, and Maria Smith; one brother, Danny Hilliard; and two sisters, Sarah Rubush and Pat Cummings.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Jackie Tennant; her second husband, Robert Eugene Crum; one son, Ronald Eugene Tennant; two brothers, Willie Junior and James Levi; and three sisters, Naomi, Elizabeth, and Lois.
Funeral service was be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at Brown Funeral Home. Interment is in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
