Lydia C. Manspile

Lydia May Crim Manspile, 85, of Shepherdstown, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, following a brief illness.

Born Jan. 2, 1932, in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer F. and L. Virginia LeMaster Crim.

She retired in 1992 from a nursing career at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg.

She was a member of the Bedington United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 77.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Truman Manspile; and sister, Martha Louise Engle.

Surviving are her sons, Russell, of Shepherdstown and LeRoy and wife, Susie, of Martinsburg; two grandsons, Darren and wife, Aly, and Mark and wife, Claire; and great-grandson, Aiden. She was a special “Aunt Lydie” to several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.
