Freddie A. Staley

Freddie Alexander Staley, 80 of Shepherdstown, passed away Sept. 13, 2017.

Born Oct. 6, 1936 in Shepherdstown, he was the son of the late George Staley, Sr. and Georgia Anne Branson Summers.

He is survived by his sister, Beatrice Lucas; four nephews: James Dunmore, Jr. and Joyce, James (JD) Dunmore, Henry Dunmore, Sr. and wife, and Bobby Dunmore; four nieces: Dorothy Labelle, Etta McKnight, Koleen Ross, and April Dunmore; two first cousins: Clifford and Clarence Branson; a host of other cousins; and extended family: Tonya Rhoden and Tuck Winfrey, Bill and Sandy Wilcox, Wendy Brown, Dana and Jo Jo Cifala, and Sherry Davidson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, John W. Summers; three brothers: James Dunmore, Sr., George Staley, Jr. (Sonny), and Clemons Staley (Boy Blue); and one nephew, Guy Lucas.
