Nancy L. Holben

Nancy L. Holben, 78, of Shepherdstown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at Berkeley Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Jan. 20, 1939, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Shackelford Jones and Charles David Jones.

Nancy retired from Shepherd College with 24 years of service. She loved playing cards, dominos, and bingo. In addition to her hobbies, she loved spending time with her family and many grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Writt and husband, James Writt, of Shepherdstown; two sons, William Holben Jr., of Clarksburg, and Mark Holben and wife, Madeline, of Shepherdstown; seven grandchildren, Amanda Trevino, Kaitlyn Writt, Benjamin Holben, Jamie Holben, Mark Holben Jr., Danielle Holben, and Ashley Holben; and many great-grandchil- dren.

Funeral services were held last Friday at the funeral home. Interment followed in Rosedale Cemetery.
