Francesca Crane Hendricks

Francesca Crane Hendricks, 88, of Shenandoah Junction died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Genesis Healthcare Shenandoah Center, Charles Town.

Born Oct. 26, 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of John Oliver Crane and Teresa Martini (Marescotti) Crane.

Francesca was a devoted wife and mother.

She was of the Episcopalian faith.

Francesca attended high school in New York City.

She studied the arts at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, located in Perugia, Italy.

She created a scholarship at West Virginia University that enabled students the opportunity to travel abroad.

She is survived by her son, John Crane Hendricks and wife Fredericka, of Shenandoah Junction and daughter, Rosalind T.M. Hendricks, of Milan, Italy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John Edward Hendricks who died Dec. 26, 2003 and one sister.

Services will be private.
