Viola V. Dopson

Viola Virginia Dopson, 89, of Charles Town, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at Jefferson Medical Center, Ranson.

She was born Jan. 4, 1931, in Hedgesville. She was the daughter of Calvin Clay Chambers and Elsie Frances (Coffingbarger) Chambers.

Viola had been employed with the former Citizens Tele-Com. Phone Company.

She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Shepherdstown and she graduated from Hedgesville High School.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Eileen Chambers, of Shenandoah Junction, Beverly Chambers, of Martinsburg; nephew, Kevin T. Chambers and wife Deana and their daughter, Madison, of Berryville, Virginia; nieces, Kim Ann Flagle, Sherry E, Chambers, Cathy Lee and great-nephew, Calvin Lee, of Shepherdstown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas F. Chambers and Donald Clay Chambers.

At Viola’s request there will be no service.

Arrangements are by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
