Ethelmary Elliott

Ethelmary “Etts” Elliott, 93, of Georgia, formerly of Williamsport, Maryland and Shepherdstown, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, at West George Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.

She was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania to the late Milton Bohn and Laura Vandalia Hartman Hill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Loving Elliott Jr. who passed away in 1980.

She was a graduate of Takoma Academy in Takoma Park, Maryland.

Etts was employed by Montgomery County Schools. She was also employed by Ferris, Baker, and Watts in Hagerstown, Maryland.

She was of the Protestant Faith.

She was the president of the Shepherdstown Community Club in Shepherdstown.

Etts enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. She lived a very meaningful and full life, a force to be reckoned with, and you always knew where you stood with her.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen E. Shaffer (John) of Manchester, Georgia; daughter, Darlene Truman (Brian) of Shepherdstown; son, Thomas E. Elliott (Loretta Socks) of Williamsport, Maryland; sister, Freda Lang of Tampa, Florida; sister, Suzanne Elliott of Hancock, Maryland; grandchildren, Jessica Filkosky, Stephanie Shields, Sarah King, and Ted King; thre great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Desiree Shields; three brothers Richard Hill, Harry Hill, and Milton Hill Jr.; two sisters, Jean Williams and Ruth Clawson.

The Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD will be open noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 for family and friends to pay their respects.

Graveside services were held at Broadfording Church Cemetery in Hagerstown, Maryland 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2021.
