Harry E. Bender III

Harry “Tripp” Erwin Bender III, 65, of Shepherdstown, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at his residence.

Born Nov. 11, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harry Erwin Bender Sr. and Janet Blackwell Bender.

Surviving is his son, Jason Erwin Bender, Bergton, Virginia; a brother, Trace Erwin Bender, Hagerstown, Maryland; sister, Susan L. Bender, Hagerstown, Maryland; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and three nephews.

All of his friends were special to him, he never met a stranger. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Bill Lukens, James Foltz Jr, Gabrielle Rosenkranz, and Marybeth Kilmer for everything that was done for him in order to keep him in his home until the end, where he was surrounded by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Eastern Panhandle Hospice, in Harry’s memory.

A wake will be organized at a later date in Shepherdstown and details will be given through social media and word of mouth.
