Jesse E. Frye

Jesse E. Frye, 85, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away Dec. 28, 2020. He was born in Shepherdstown, to the late Jesse L. and Ida Frye. He was also predeceased by two infant daughters; grandson, Michael E. Hough; and sisters, Virginia Potts, Elca Frye, Ethel Mauck, and Rosemary Frye. He was a member of Middleway UMC in Middleway. Jesse loved to hunt, fish and garden.

Jesse worked many years at Whitmore Lumber Co. in Charles Town, before retirement, he also worked in a Butcher’s Shop in Sharpesburg.

In later years, he and his wife moved to Virginia Beach to be near their only child and her family. He participated in many activities and local events.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara; daughter, Judy Aycud (Rex); grandson, Mathew Aycud, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Colonial Grove Memorial Park, 3445 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
