Catherine R. Riffey

Catherine Romaine Riffey, 77, passed away peacefully Jan. 9, 2021, at Williamsport Retirement Village surrounded by family.

Born June 15, 1943, in Huntington Beach, California, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Colton Smith and Romaine (Miller) Smith.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Shepherdstown.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher B. Riffey (Jacqueline), and Brian S. Riffey (Brigitte); three grandchildren, Logan, Aiden, and Liam Riffey; five stepgrandchildren; a brother, John Smith (Dawn); and a sister, JoAnn Eslora.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Blair Riffey Jr.

Graveside service was be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Cumberland, Maryland with Father Binoy Thomas officiating.
