Santo R. Migliorise

Santo R. “Joe” Migliorise, 85, of Shepherdstown, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 8, 1935, in New York, New York. He was the son of the late Richard Migliorise and Frances Migliorise.

He retired as an economist for the United States Postal Service.

He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.

He graduated from the University of Maryland.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War Veteran.

He is survived by his brother-in-law and friend, Donnie Housden (Doris), of Shenandoah Junction; niece, Amy Petretta and husband, Andrew; great-nieces, Carina and Amara Petretta and great-nephew, Nico Petretta.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary Catherine Migliorise who died in 2001.

Services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
