Bernard Johnson

Bernard (Mick) Johnson, 76, of Hedgesville, WV went to be with our Lord Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, at Berkeley Medical Center after a courageous fight with Covid-19.
Mick was born in 1944 in Martinsburg, WV, son of the late Virginia and Walter Johnson. Preceding him in death are his two sisters, Dorothy Younker and Deloris French.
He retired as a Railroad Engineer from Amtrak, Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroad. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Woodbine Assembly of God. Mick enjoyed showing his antique cars and car shows, playing golf and spending winters in Florida. He was a devoted husband and loved his family.
Mick married the love of his life, Judy Gardner Aug. 20, 1965. Surviving with his wife are his son, Mickey Johnson (Teri) of Shepherdstown, WV and daughters, Tammy Johnson of Hedgesville, WV and Tonya Jennings (Chris) of Clear Brook, VA; grandsons, Cole and Cody Jennings, Bailey Johnson and Bernard Johnson, Jr.; granddaughters, Abbie Fisher and Sarah Kirby. Also missing and looking for him is his faithful and beloved pet Shih Tzu, Sir Bentley.
Services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
