John was a man of great faith and great humility. He was a good and faithful servant in his spiritual life as well as in his public life. He served as County Clerk for 64 years and cherished each day of his career. He is a member of Christ Reformed Church in Shepherdstown, WV and attended XR Church of Martinsburg. His entire life was dedicated to God, his family, and to the citizens of Berkeley County, WV.
