Glenn Michael James

Glenn Michael James of Shepherdstown, WV, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021. He was 71 years old. Born July 3, 1949, in Madisonville, Kentucky, he was the oldest son of Wilbur Jewel James and Lena Mae (Whitsell) James. He grew up in San Diego, California, and attended San Diego State University. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam. He worked for the Federal Government as a GS-14 Labor and Employee Relations Specialist for 34 years, retiring in 2003.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his son, Ian McCormick James, by his first wife Sue Ann McCormick.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 31 years, Dorothy Louise James, They were married October 6, 1990, in Arlington, Virginia. He is also survived by his father, Wilbur J. James; his brothers David Allen James and Gregory Keith James; his sister Vicki Lynn James; two grand children Beckett Camden James and Madigan Elizabeth James; and many nieces and nephews.

He will be buried at National Memorial Park Cemetery in Falls Church, Virginia. All funeral arrangements are being handled by Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home located in Harpers Ferry, WV.
